Which theory or model would you apply in developing your action plan?

The Strategic Action Planning Model is an effective tool for developing and implementing an action plan. This model emphasizes the creation of a detailed action plan based on an organization’s mission, vision, goals, objectives and strategies. The model also requires that stakeholders be identified and involved in all stages of the planning process. This paper will provide an overview of the Strategic Action Planning Model as well as discuss some of its key components.

Strategic planning is a long-term process that involves analyzing organization’s internal and external environments, setting goals and objectives, formulating strategies to achieve those goals, making decisions about resources needed to implement those strategies, taking action to implement them and monitoring progress towards achieving stated objectives (Williams 2020). The strategic action planning process encompasses five key steps: analysis; goal setting; strategy development; implementation; evaluation.
