What is your definition of “spiritual care?”

My definition of “spiritual care” is the provision of emotional and spiritual support to individuals in order to promote physical, mental, and social wellbeing. This type of care is based on a belief that one’s spirituality plays an important role in holistic health and personal growth. Spiritual care can be provided through counseling, education, and/or spiritual practices such as prayer or meditation (Gibson & Solomon , 2020).
