Role of nurses in society and in our community

Nurses are essential to the healthcare system and play a vital role in society and in our communities. Nurses provide compassionate care to patients, advocate for them when necessary, and serve as an important link between patient and physician. They also work to educate patients about health concerns, provide emotional support during difficult times, offer preventative care services such as immunizations, participate in research activities and much more (Gibson &Solomon , 2020). These roles not only benefit individuals but they can have a positive impact on entire communities.
