Emotional and personality development in early childhood is an important factor in a child’s overall health and wellbeing. As infants, children are born with their own unique temperament which will shape the way they interact with the world around them (Shaffer & Kipp, 2018). During this stage of development, children learn to recognize and express their emotions while developing social skills such as communication, empathy and cooperation (Wang et al., 2019).
