Type 1 DM is an autoimmune disorder caused when the body’s own immune system mistakenly attacks its insulin producing cells in the pancreas. This leads to an inability to produce enough insulin on its own and requires daily injections of synthetic insulin for life. Symptoms of type 1 Diabetes include increased thirst and urination, weight loss despite increased appetite, fatigue, blurred vision ,and frequent infections . It typically occurs before the age of 30 and affects less than 10 percent of those with diabetes.
Difference between diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a lasting metabolic ailment distinguished by sustained high blood sugar levels.
