Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is a serious condition in which the arteries that supply blood to the heart become blocked, leading to serious health problems such as heart attack or stroke. Although there are many factors involved in its development, some of them are modifiable and others are not. The modifiable risk factors for CAD include smoking, physical inactivity, poor diet, stress and obesity while non-modifiable risk factors such as age, gender and family history cannot be changed.
Choose a subject and identify modifiable and no modifiable risk factors. Identify methods to prevent Coronary artery disease (CAD) in the subject. What can you recommend to your classmate’s subjects?
