Academic and Social Influence of Parental Incarceration on Adult Children 

Parental incarceration has become a critical issue in the United States, as it affects both the adult children and their families. Research shows that parental incarceration can have serious implications on the academic and social well-being of adult children. These include mental health issues, academic challenges, substance abuse problems and difficulties in forming interpersonal connections (Grisso et al., 2011). This paper will examine how parental incarceration influences the academic and social lives of adult children.
